Has been a good place and been going since it opened. This time I had something new to me. Did not like the stroganoff. Bunch of noodles and not much juice and meat. S friend also had it and his opinion was higher than mine. The pot roast is a better bet. Sadly, madame Wu was taken off the menu years ago but was a staple salad for me. In general food and service is good.

Was excellent. The fact that it is in a functional airport makes it an interesting destination. Food is always great. The ribs and chicken fingers are delicious. Pot roast is another great option. Service has always been very good. If you sit by the window there are planes landing and taking off. This place is in our regular dining rotation.

Always a fun place. Chicken fingers are even better than all the reviews.. so good. The atmosphere is fun, channeling a little island feel to go with the airport paraphernalia. Only negative, there is usually a good 30+ minute wait for dinner every time we've gone. Lots of fun.

Had a awesome experience in this place with my wife. The food was served quickly and the customer service is just excellent. Prices are fair.

If you want to have great food with one of the most unique atmospheres, pilot Pete’s is the place. From the apps, to the soups, and the main courses... I would eat there every day if I lived closer. It’s worth going if you haven’t and try the lobster nachos! You’ll see why they’re famous...

I am typing this review as we are sitting here waiting for our food for what seems to be ETERNITY! The ambiance is cute overlooking the airport. Decor is cute but wow, soooo understaffed! The absolute longest wait we’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. Hoping the food was worth the wait...

First time to try and we were sit down nicely by the server and explain the kinds of food they offer. It's a typical american diner. I ended up trying the "100$ burger" because I was curious by the name. Happy to try this spot. Kind staff.

Good food and service. Starters, soup, entrees and salads were very good. Chili was a little disappointing. Nice healthy portions.

This place's decor is heaven for anyone who is even slightly considering being a fan of airplanes. The people are friendly, the food decent, and they have atomic fireballs for mints! My kind of post meal breath freshener. There's also unique desserts worth a try for sure.

Kids could see planes taking off and landing and they loved it. Food was okay overall. Service was good. Would def go back.

Fun place, food was ok. I ordered the Lobster roll was not what I was expecting, I suggest you skip the lobster roll. My son's burger looked good and he liked it. Fun looking at all the planes hanging overhead and able to watch planes tale off and land.

The Louie's Wonton nachos were SO good! There must have been something addictive in it! Lol! The meals were okay and there was a really wide selection. The location was really neat. It was a former airport and if you get a table by the windows you can see the runway. And at the right time you get to see planes land. It’s a fun place to take kids. It’s got tons of stuff to look at and they have actual airline seats to sit in when waiting for a table.

Sat in the bar area. Ordered bang bang combo and potato skins. Such huge portions! Definitely have lunch leftovers for tomorrow. Stephanie was our server and the service was amazing. Will for sure recommend pilot Pete’s to all our friends. We will be back next Wednesday for sure! Thanks.

I went here to evaluate their "World Famous" chicken fingers to see if they are as good as their neighbor Village Tavern. They were good but not as flavourful as the Village Tavern fingers. Not as much breading, not as moist and not as big. Still not bad, but I don't give them "World Famous" status.

Food was decent but was there for a party of 40 and they only had 1 waitress taking orders, drinks and cleaning tables... Took forever plus place was very warm/stuffy(outside temp mid 50s) lack of air flow in an overcrowded restaurant made us not wanting to ever return here. Small planes taking off and landing is interesting but not a big deal even for the kids in our group..overall a big meh...hire more employees and invest in a proper air ventilation system.

This site is my favorite restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. when I I need a good supper, this restaurant comes straight to my mind. best and all kinds of food and a large menu.well mannered team, and nice atmosphere. Also important, the bill is reasonable. I suggest this restaurant with no doubt.

Pilot Pete's has been a consistent, tasty standard for years. Overlooking the small airport is engaging for anyone at the table to see small airplanes and helicopters coming and going. The food is excellent, and they're famous for both ribs and chicken tenders. The bakes are extremely rich, but wonderful if you plan to split them.

I really love this place. Ambiance is great, there's always parking, food is delicious. Chicken fingers are so good, honestly I've never had a bad meal here. I'm excited to try something new when I come here.

Nice aviation themed restaurant, known for their chicken fingers, which are fantastic! The decor is Jimmy Buffet meets an airplane museum, with a heavy tropical vibe and airplanes on the ceiling. This place is very kid friendly and great for families. There are plenty of windows for everyone to see planes landing and taking off. The food is moderately priced, portions are large, and food is delicious.

Great place to eat, but eat in. For some reason they thought to fit 6 meals with soups into a single bag, and it was on the porch ripped with sauces open on the ground.

The place was great all around. Great service, good view of the planes, good food, definitely get what you pay for. Our portions for the kids were about 10x what they could eat. My wife was only able to eat about 1/3 of hers. I just had to suffer and soldier through I couldn't let all that good food go to a left overs container. Our children really liked being able to see the planes.

They offer a vast variety of fresh food. I enjoyed eating here. Employees are always welcoming, pricing is reasonable and the spot is always clean.

The ambience of this place is pretty awesome. It's right off the runway of Schaumburg Regional Airport. So depending on when you go, you may see a plane or two take off. That one of the reasons I gave it four stars! Otherwise, the food was good. I started with a Baked French Onion soup which was tasty. Not to spiced up. My cousin and I split the spicy shrimp tacos, & Broccoli Mac & cheese with bacon added. There was a lot of Mac, I had one taco which had a decent kick to it, and half my bowl of mac and was pretty full. Nothing I ate was like wow this was amazing. I will most definitely be back with my munchkin because he loves planes!

Outstanding! Stopped on a chance find and loved it. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Chicken fingers are the best I've had and honey mustard was perfect.

I finally had an opportunity to have the Friday night fish fry. It was okay, nothing special. The clam chowder soup was too watery. The tater tots were not hot and the coleslaw was not cold. The waitress asked me if I would like fries, and I said what else is available, she said you can have tater tots. of course when the bill came the tater tots were $1.50 more. That's fine, but tell the customer 1st.

I've ordered here twice. I've had worse, but I've had a lot better. The loaded tater tots are disappointing. The supreme nachos or whatever they're called were a little better, but no cheese even? Don't think it merits another order.

Nice atmosphere with plans hanging from the ceiling as well as other aviation memorabilia. Restaurant overlooks run way with planes parked along side. Large menu selection. Food was delicious. Kid friendly.

My daughter introduced me to Pilot Pete's. What a great place! Food is terrific, service great, decor interesting. I wish I lived closer; I'd be there often. If you get the chance, don't miss it!

This place was a great experience. The decorations were awesome, and it was like a step back in time. The food was good, and our waitress was very helpful. However, it was hard to maintain a conversation with those around you due to the loud atmosphere.

Love this little hidden gem. Staff is courteous and fun (Juan is the best always accommodating). The place is on a small runway atop a little airport. It's fun in the summer to see the planes take off and land. The drinks are strong and the food is delicious and some of it unique. The decor keeps the kids occupied. The whole place is lined with windows. If you go on a Saturday its busy but during the week it's usually easy to get a great seat. It's a favorite for my kids on their birthdays. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to them being out of the dessert I ordered and wanted (on my only cheat day).

I only gave this place 1 star and really that is to much! Our server Nicole was very good and nice I feel bad that she had to take the complaints because the whole issue is with the kitchen! Took 2 hours to get our food for a table of 3 and when we finely did get get my dish was COLD!!!!!! Don’t know if it’s under new management or what.... but we will NEVER go back there!Save your money and time and go someplace else!!!!!!

Really fun place to have lunch. Right at the end of Schaumburg airport. Small airplanes are taking off and landing while having lunch. Inside is decorated with small planes hanging from the walls and ceiling. Looks like the inside of an old time travel trunk. With stickers from all the countries it's been pasted everywhere. We had the bacon burger with fries. Let me just say the burgers are BIG. The food was good. If you like airplanes and food, it's a no brainer.

My family has been going to this place for years. My mom loves this place. It's great for families with children. My daughter and my nephew enjoys looking at the airplanes. This places can accommodate large groups. I just wish they have a better menu for kids. Other than that the regular menu have some good selections.

Went to Pilot Pete's for the first time last Sunday for dinner. Was with a group of seven people, and was seated quickly (they don't take reservations on Friday, or the weekend. Got a table by the windows, so we could see the planes. The place was busy, so a bit of a delay in getting dishes, and can get loud, but the food was good, and the portions were large, plus your choice of soup or salad with most of the meals. I look to going back again.

Pilot Pete's is a great place to eat, they have a large menu with appetizers and main dishes that are delicious! While you eat, you can watch an occasional plane come in and land or take off since they are located at a small regional airport. Our grandson loves watching the planes! The weekends are busy but you will get seated pretty quickly and the servers are prompt, friendly and very good at their job! I give them 5 stars AND 2 thumbs up!!

This has always been one of my favorite places to eat. Great atmosphere, nice layout, and it’s fun to watch planes and helicopters taking off and landing! The service is on point! Although, I was pretty disappointed that they changed the menu so much… They don’t even offer steak anymore. Or my favorite crème brûlée. This lemon butter salmon was amazing though!

Need to go whole grain! Cool atmosphere and food has real potential, but could use a bit less oil and whole wheat buns, wraps, pasta and pitas.

Such great food here! I also love that you can see the airplanes at Schaumburg take off and land. So much fun for the kids!

Aviation themed, great view of the runway, ramp area and parked aircraft. Informal dining, not pricey. Food and service both great. I'll be back.

Enjoyed this restaurant which has a large menu selection. Need to warn you the portions are large. There were 5 of us and everyone ordered something different. I had chicken fingers with Sweet Potato fries which was good and left with a doggy bag. Someone had the BLT Platter which was big. One person is on a diet and was accommodated with a grilled chicken breast and vegetables. Another person had Pot Roast with whipped potatoes and enjoyed it. We did have dessert which was shared. The chocolate cake and Key Lime Pie which were tasty and filling. The service was very good too. Kids will enjoy watching the small planes taking off and landing as well as all the planes and helicopters mounted in the restaurant ceiling. Parking is plentiful and handicap parking is close by. I recommend trying this restaurant for a. change of pace.

Walked in for pickup today, got my order promptly, and a manager told me thank you for my business. And you could tell it was genuine.Got home ate my chicken fingers and fries. I usually get Village Tavern, but I think I’m going to switch. Was similar, but a little bit more food and the plastic container made it easier to eat out of.Thank you for the excellent food and conversation
